For more information and a complete schedule of upcoming events and activities in and around Forest Home Farms, click here to see the Spring San Ramon Recreation Guide.   June, 2008 Saturday, June 28th, Farmers' Market The San Ramon Farmers' Market hosts 30-40 local vendors offering some of the finest and freshest local and organic produce, fruits, vegetables, artisan foods including olive oils and vinegars, cheese, bread, honey, seafood, fresh cut-flowers, plants and a food court area with live music each week. The market will also feature a plant clinic from Contra Costa County Master Gardeners. The market is managed and operated by the City of San Ramon/Forest Home Farms. It will run every Saturday from May to November from 9am to 1pm.   July, 2008 Saturday, July 5th, Farmers' Market   Saturday, July 12th, Farmers' Market   Saturday, July 18th, Ice Cream & Classic Cars, 6:00 pm — 8:00 pm The City of San Ramon and the San Ramon Historic Foundation is hosting its annual Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social at Forest Home Farms. Highlights of the event include live entertainment by the Hot Rods playing rocking hits from the 1950’s, and the Tri-Valley Chevy Classic Car Club will have their restored 1955-1957 Chevys on display. In addition, there will be: Children’s crafts and games Sheep dog demonstrations Tractor rides Tours of the farm and, of course, Free ice cream! Save money by pre-registering for only $3.00. Enjoy a day of creating among the historic structures, tall redwoods and pastures of Forest Home Farms. Bring supplies, a chair and lunch. Dress appropriately for the outdoors. $5 residents / $6 non-residents per session       September, 2008 September 28th, Sunday, Victorian Tea, 1:00 pm — 4:00 pm This special Victorian Tea is in honor of Mrs. Ruth Boone who donated her family farm to the City of San Ramon to be used as a historic park. Afternoon Tea with sweet and savory treats will be served. The afternoon event includes: Afternoon tea with sweet & savory treats Entertainment – The Goodwill Bags (Vintage fashion show) Opportunity Baskets Gifts and Victorian hats for sale Prize for best adult costume and best hat In the true spirit of the Victorian era, attendees are encouraged to come in Victorian dress and/or hats!
