At San Ramon's annual Business and Community Awards Dinner, Jean Ohman, President of the San Ramon Historic Foundation, was awarded citizen of the year for leading SRHF's efforts to preserve and restore Forest Home Farms and other historic sites in San Ramon.
Jean could not be present at the awards gala but when asked how she felt about the honor bestowed on her, she said, "I am thrilled and honored to be selected as there are many great people in the community. As the city grows as a community, I hope that in some small way I can help continue to make this city a great place to live. I am proud of the Foundation board members and many volunteers that help make Forest Home Farm so successful. I will try very hard to live up to the honor that I have been given.”
Carol Lopez, who also serves on the board for the Foundation, accepted the award for Jean, who was traveling abroad. "Jean is a wonderful lady and San Ramon can be very proud that she represents us so well."
